Description
Tibetan Prayer Flags
The prayer flags, originating from Tibetan Buddhism, are printed with prayers and mantras and are used for hanging in mountain passes, temples and rocky points in the Himalayas. Tibetans believe that when the wind blows, prayers and mantras ascend to the gods.
Traditionally prayer flags come in sets of 5 of each primary color one plus white and green. Blue stands for sky, white for wind, red for fire, green for water and yellow for earth. According to Tibetan medicine, health is the result of harmony and balance between the 5 elements.
The flags are 14x19x500 cm
