For the Hindu people of Bali, making sacrifices is an important part of their faith. Every day the Balinese place new offering baskets, the so-called ‘canang sari’, at all offering places. It is an offering to their god Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. For example, you see the offerings at temples, house temples, in front of shops on the sidewalk and in all temples on the market.
